Come visit us at one of our shows or attend a general meeting which is held at 7:30 PM on the second Thursday of each month at the Wayne G. Sanborn Activities Center located on Amelia Ave, Deland. All of which are open to the public or speak to one of our members and inquire about membership. Each person must be sponsored by a current member in good standing of the West Volusia Kennel Club to join.
Topics at our meetings could range from the operation of the club such as planning for our All-Breed dog show to various programs offered by members and or guests.
Joining the West Volusia Kennel Club is a relatively simple process. The prospective member must be in good standing with the American Kennel Club. After obtaining and completing the membership application, the applicant must obtain endorsement by two members in good standing. The completed application,
along with dues for the current year, is submitted to the Membership Chairman It is read at 3 general meetings and recommended by the Board for approval, then is voted on by the membership. It is the club's policy that the prospective member must attend 3 consecutive meetings prior to membership vote.
We are always loking for people to join our club that would like to engage in the sport of pure bred dogs, whether it's to show or be a dog fancier. We have a great obedience
staff that loves to teach dog owners how to teach their dogs to be good canine citizens. We also offer conformation classes to those who would to learn how to show
